Not all Rolex Daytonas are equal. Condition, style and manufacturing date are all important when determining their worth. The three Rolex Daytonas pictured are all stainless steel, but they have vastly different values.
On the right is a commonplace, circa 2000 normal-dial Daytona. Depending on condition, it is worth anywhere from $8,000 to $20,000.

The Paul Newman Daytona
On the left is a 1980s Daytona. In used condition, it is worth $25,000 to $100,000. The model in the middle, however, is really special. Routinely called the “exotic dial” Daytona — sometimes the Paul Newman Daytona — it sells for $100,000 to $500,000, depending on model number and condition (and whether it comes with the original box and papers). It takes an expert to know the value of a vintage Rolex.
